Free Game to Play - Fault Line
I stumbled across this little gem today and it has a super easy yet rewarding premise, you can fold the lines of the world you are in. I really enjoy puzzle games (as most of you know), and so games like this are awesome. I think that so long as an element of fun is added to puzzles, the repetitve nature can be avoided. Portal did this well in Portal by having intriguing dialogue, and Portal 2 added the co-op play which is hard to resist. What do you guys think, are puzzle games fun?

ReplyDeleteThough I can't comment on puzzle game design but I did play the portal series. I think the adding of new elements being spaced out is what keeps you from getting bored in them.
I recommend checking this game out, it was a fun quick play through. You're right when you say it is like portal.

ReplyDeletePuzzle games are always fun, but Fault Line does have to be one of the most innovative (gameplay-gimmicks wise) I've seen in a while.

you should give "Echochrome" a try.
@icey I will get to turning it off between puzzles, I am just worried that if I do that someone will post on a puzzle that has no explanation yet etc.
